Pages are in the wrong order when using Overleaf LaTeX template to write paper

I am currently using a template based on the Overleaf LaTeX editor to write a paper. When my .tex file is compiled by pdfLaTeX, I find that the some pages supposed to be in the middle of the paper are actually in front of the first page of the paper without page numbers. In addition, the problem is specific to a few subsections. In other words, the problem happens only when I add some specific subsections to my .tex file. How could I modify/debug my .tex file so that all the pages are in the right ascending order? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
