Executing raw shellcode on windows

I swear there was a way to copy paste shell code into CMD or PowerShell and have it execute.

I remember making reverse shells, meterpreters in msfvenom and copying that shellcode directly into CMD and having it work. I searched everywhere and can't find how to do it now. I'm beginning to question my own sanity.
