Deploying webapp with Rails back end and React front end in AWS

I am getting ready to deploy my webapp to AWS, but since I have never done this before I need some guidance. I have done some research into AWS, and saw that elastic beanstalk is a good option for putting webapps into production.

I was looking at a tutorial on AWS for loading a rails application onto an Elastic Beanstalk environment, but I am not sure how the front end gets incorporated into this. Is it treated as a new environment or would I not use Elastic Beanstalk at all for the front end?

Any help is appreciated.
