unable to run R kernel in Jupyter notebook

I am trying to run Jupyter notebooks in R.

Typically this is easy for me and I haven't had issues with this in the past.

However I am working on a new 2020 MacBook and I am running into some conflicts.

Here is the truncated error message from the "kernel error" button I have tried uninstalling, installing, but this Miniconda error persists.
