Rails Cocoon Gem: Rendering nested forms in separate view to 'edit'

I have nested forms, but the way that they are set up by default is to add a child to a parent via the parent 'edit' page. The trouble is that this renders the edit for the parent, plus ALL child listings.

I'd like to be able to add/edit these separately. So, edit the parent, edit individual children on separate forms, and add new children on separate forms, but still have them nested.

Is this possible to do via the cocoon gem?
