I am using Centos 7 with kernel 3.10; using "lsmem" I can see memory address ranges that are online and removable. I use "chmem -d " to an offline range of memory and the command succeeds. however, I see no memory being offlined. I did a couple of "lsmem" back to back and i saw that memory offline was visible for few seconds but the range kept getting enabled and within few lsmem executions total offline memory was back to 0.
can you help, what could be reverting the offlined memory range to online?
