if vnc server connection failed, process are running?

This may be a silly question,

1. If I am running infinite loop processes in a shell from VNC created desktop ubuntu GUI=. After sometimes if vncserver not able to connect (because of brute force attack or something, error - connection refused), does processes still running? or does it gets killed?

2. If i use nomachine, if nomachine gets hung wil the process running, gets killed or it will be running in the server ?

Note : I use cronjobs to trigger python scripts which will run all day, so stability is important, hence above questions
