How to connect an SQL Client to a Hive DB in AWS EMR

I have created an EMR AWS cluster with a Hive database (the metastore is in HDFS). I am able to SSH to the machine and submit Hive commands in the putty console. But I would like to connect an SQL Client like DBeaver to the DB. How to do that?
