Adding a separate pop-up window in Leaflet

I have been trying to add a pop-up window that will be activated once someone clicks on a location marker. There are a few paragraphs of information and, as a result, bindPopup () wouldn't work. I have synthesized all information on a page1.html in the same folder.

How would I go about adding a pop-up window for this marker to link on my page1.html? I am also open to considering other ways of inserting this text.

    var marker = L.marker([43.66247,-79.37383]).addTo(mymap);
