Can i Take a photo and process it from a camera using ip

I'm working on a graduation project "smart attendance system" i designed an android application and desktop appilication and finished the face recognition part now i cant figure out which camera should i use the test subject will be around 24 person and i can't figure out how to make my application turn on the camera take a photo of the sample and process it in the api if anyone could kindly help i'll be thankful 🙏🙌
