Keycloak - Remove username field from the insert query to client after user registration

Using email as a validation method in Keycloak, do I have an option (maybe with mappers, but I tried) to take away the username field from the insertion query is sent to the client after user registration?

I could apply a workaround to define a username field in the client side model, but I would like to fix this issue from the keycloak side.
